Springfield Department of Public Safety does not do fingerprinting. Contact the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department at (269)-969-6442 or visit their website for fingerprinting times and cost.
Background Checks:
Springfield Department of Public Safety can conduct a search of only our records for police contact. For a complete criminal background check you can do either of the following:

- Go to apps.michigan.gov/ichat and follow the instructions. A fee is charged for each search. You will need to know the person’s full name and date of birth.
